Meet the Team

Albert Brooks, M.A.Sc., P.Eng.

Founding Partner / Director

Albert brings over 16 years of experience supporting engineers, architects, and developers across North America through advanced wind and microclimate consulting. His work spans pedestrian wind comfort, urban microclimate assessments, structural snow loading, snow drifting, and falling ice and snow risk analysis—areas where he is widely regarded for his technical depth and clear, practical guidance.

Throughout his career, Albert has contributed to many high-profile projects, including the Oilers Arena, the Calgary Flames Arena, BMO Field, and a broad range of high-rise, mixed-use, and institutional developments. His work consistently helps design teams de-risk approvals, improve outdoor comfort and safety, and optimize building form and site planning.

Albert began his career at Rowan William Davies & Irwin (RWDI) and later expanded his leadership in the field at Cermak Peterka Petersen (CPP) Wind Engineering Consultants. As the founder of Tandem Wind & Snow, he focuses on delivering rigorous analysis paired with actionable, design-friendly advice—ensuring that every study directly supports project success.

Kevin Bauman, P.Eng.

Founding Partner / Director

Kevin has spent more than a decade advising engineers, architects, developers, and city planners on the complex interplay between wind, snow, and the built environment. He began his career in 2015 with Rowan William Davies & Irwin (RWDI), where he had the opportunity to work alongside respected mentors and industry leaders, including Albert Brooks. In 2021, Kevin further broadened his expertise and leadership within the field by joining Cermak Peterka Petersen (CPP) Wind Engineering Consultants.

As a founder of Tandem Wind & Snow, Kevin blends technical rigor with practical insight to deliver solutions that enhance performance, mitigate risk, and provide long-term value. His philosophy is straightforward: collaborate deeply, communicate clearly, and execute with excellence.

His professional, grounded, and relationship-driven approach has led to strong working partnerships with municipalities and planning authorities. He is particularly well regarded throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has supported countless urban microclimate assessments and planning applications. His work has informed the design and approval of major developments by helping project teams improve outdoor comfort and safety, optimize building forms, and respond effectively to municipal requirements. Over the course of his career, Kevin has contributed to a wide range of high profile high-rise, mixed-use, and institutional developments.
